This is a 1.5" antique German bisque "Tiny" Snow Baby figurine. Snow Babies are small figurines made from slipcast porcelain depicting a child dressed in a one-piece snowsuit. This one is sitting on a sled with both arms reaching out. It has a painted face and brown boots. The snowsuit is covered in small pieces of crushed bisque, giving the appearance of fallen snowflakes.

The face has a more realistic look compared to later versions, typical of older German-made pieces. The hardened bisque porcelain is coated with slip containing grog to imitate the texture of snow, which is then was fired and painted.

It is in excellent condition with snow on the front, sides and back of the snow baby. I see no chips, cracks, or repairs as well as no markings. What a precious little treasure!
