This item is an antique brass counter top bell, also known as a reception or hotel service bell. These bells were commonly used in hotels, shops, and large houses to summon staff.  It is made of brass, showing a natural dark patina consistent with age and use.  The bell has a traditional dome shape and an ornate base with a decorative relief pattern. It features a metal finial (knob) on the top that is pressed to ring it.  These bells often date to the late 19th or early 20th century.

It's Condition is good and it has a nice ring.
