This is an antique porcelain hatpin holder. Hatpin holders were used to safely store long, decorative hatpins which were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It features a hand-painted floral design, likely violets or lavender, with gold accents. The hexagonal shape is characteristic of many hatpin holders from that era. 

Measures:   4.5" high by 3.75" wide by 3.75" deep

Condition:   Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
