This is a 2" antique German bisque "Snow Baby" figurine. Snow Babies are small figurines made from slipcast porcelain depicting a child dressed in a one-piece snowsuit. This one features a pair of standing snow babies that are hugging each other. It has painted faces. The snowsuits are covered in small pieces of crushed bisque, giving the appearance of fallen snowflakes.

The faces have a more realistic look compared to later versions, typical of older German-made pieces. The hardened bisque porcelain is coated with slip containing grog to imitate the texture of snow, which is then was fired and painted.

It is in excellent condition with snow on the front, sides and back of the snow babies. Note that the snow coloring has darkened to a light brown color.
