This serving plate (cookie plate) with a great transfer pattern of Santa mirthfully covering his mouth with a gloved hand while Kewpie dolls are tussling with red ribbons around his head.  The inscription reads "LET JOY BE EVERYWHERE YOU ARE/CHRISTMAS 1973" with a signature of Rose O'Neill, the creator of the Kewpie Doll.

The dish, part of the Kewpie Commemorative Edition collection, was produced in Japan for World Wide Arts of Cleveland Ohio.  Plate is in excellent condition--clean, no chips, no cracks, no crazing.  Image is complete and eye-catching.  Plate has a red banded rim.
