The 11" Kewpie doll is made of composition material. Composition is a durable material created as a more resilient alternative to fragile bisque (unglazed porcelain) dolls. It typically consists of a mixture of materials such as sawdust or wood flour, glue, and resins. It has movable arms attached to the body and features a red heart on its chest with the Kewpie name.

Kewpie dolls are a brand of collectible dolls created by American cartoonist Rose O’Neill in 1909. They were first produced in Germany in 1912, with subsequent production in the United States using materials like bisque, celluloid, and composition. Known for their chubby cheeks, small wings, and "baby cupid" appearance, the dolls remain popular today in both vintage and modern forms, and their creator used the doll's fame to advocate for women's suffrage.

This doll is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
