The item shown in the image is a vintage porcelain serving or trinket dish, often described as a "Victorian lady dish" or "portrait dish". The dish features a central hand-painted portrait of a woman embracing a child.  It has a distinctive deep blue border with an openwork, reticulated design and gilded edges.  Similar items are often attributed to Bavarian porcelain manufacturers and date from the early to mid-20th century. These dishes were typically used as decorative items, serving bowls for small treats, or trinket dishes. 

Measures:   1.5" high by 6.5" wide by 4" deep

Condition:   Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
